Come As You Are.
I offer a trauma-informed, social justice-oriented, and compassionate approach to psychotherapy, helping you work through anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress.
Areas of Specialty:
Trauma-Focused Therapy
Understanding the profound impact of trauma on one’s mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being, my approach to trauma therapy weaves together therapeutic techniques that emphasize the integration of mind, body, and spirit, including Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, trauma-informed Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and parts-work.
Rather than solely discussing traumatic memories, we actively engage with them through emotional and somatic (body-based) techniques. This approach helps transform their emotional and physical impact, enabling you to live more fully in the present. I aim to facilitate a process that not only avoids re-traumatization but also builds on the inner resources you already hold.

Support for People of the Global Majority
As a first-generation Afghan Canadian, I deeply value the privilege of supporting People of the Global Majority (BIPoC folks) on their journey to healing and thriving. I recognize the profound impact that colonialism, racial and systemic trauma, and intersecting oppressive forces have on our well-being. Yet, I also understand that our experiences are not solely defined by suffering and oppression.
Our lives, while influenced by these challenges, are far richer and more complex. They are filled with resilience, strength, and diverse experiences that go beyond adversity. In my therapeutic approach, I honor our full humanity, acknowledging the difficulties while also celebrating our collective resilience, ancestral wisdom, and the immense potential for joy, pleasure, and fulfillment.

Therapy for Anxiety
Anxiety is our mind’s way of signaling that something needs attention. Despite efforts to avoid or ignore it, anxiety demands to be acknowledged. It’s a normal response to stress, fear, and risk, but when it spirals out of control, it can make life challenging.
To manage anxiety, we must approach it with curiosity and compassion. In therapy, we’ll explore your worries, identify triggers, and develop strategies to manage anxiety effectively. Together, we’ll work on the root causes while building confidence, self-awareness, and the ability to set boundaries. We’ll also address symptoms related to trauma and work through your fears
-
Recurring panic attacks with or without agoraphobia
Social anxiety and fear of being negatively judged by others
Generalized anxiety and excessive worrrying
Fear of illness/constant anxiety about your health
Specific phobia (i.e. driving, vomiting, etc)
